How long are the classes?
Demonstration classes usually last about 1 1/2 hours and participation classes usually last about 2 hours.

What is the difference between a participation and demonstration class?
A demonstration class is where you are sitting in the audience watching while we show you how to prepare the recipes. For a participation class, you will be up in the kitchen working with us hands-on to prepare the recipes.

How do the teambuilding classes work?
We have several teambuilding scenarios that we have developed for our cooking classes. Whether you just want to get to know one another, or you want to challenge your group, we will work with you to customize the experience so it is perfect for your team.

Do you have sample or set menus for the private classes?
Since our menus change daily for our classes, we do not have any set menus. We can work with you to customize a menu that will be perfect for your event. Or you can look at our classes page and select any of the menus that we are currently teaching.

What is included in the price of the class?
The price includes a generous tasting of all dishes prepared, along with 1-2 glasses of wine per person that is served with the meal. Everyone will also get a packet that includes all of the recipes to take home.

What do I need to do to book a private class?
Our kitchen calendar books up quickly, so please call us now to reserve the date for your private cooking class. We do ask for a deposit of $200 to reserve the date for you. The deposit would be refundable if the class was cancelled at least one month prior to the class date.

When do I need to provide a final head count?
We will need a final head count and menu confirmation at least one week prior to the class.

Can I add-on a take home gift for my guests?
Yes, we can work with you to select the perfect gift to remind your guests of the cooking class experience. Here are some of the more popular items we offer:
Charleston Cooks! "Taste of the Lowcountry" cookbook - $8.99
Charleston Cooks! "Seafood Favorites" cookbook - $8.99
