Dick Elliott Frank Lee David Marconi Patrick Emerson Melody Long Jill Maynard Melody Long Director of Financial Reporting A 1983 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Melody Long’s activities at home and work revolve around Tarheel sports. As our director of Financial Reporting, Melody sees herself as the “official scorekeeper” of the results of our operations. Melody’s experience and talents as a Certified Public Accountant provide for Maverick Southern Kitchens a level of financial reporting uncommon in the restaurant industry. In addition to directing the production of all financial statements and management reporting, she is responsible for administration of human resources and risk management for the company. A native of Albemarle, N.C., Melody practiced with CPA firms in Charlotte for five years before relocating to Charleston with husband Wes. She held positions as controller with several major companies before joining Maverick Southern Kitchens in January, 2000. When not “keeping score” with financial reports for Maverick, Mel enjoys any sporting event, but especially enjoys helping daughter Haley develop her gymnastic skills.
