THE BUZZ

"The Old Village Post House brings the downtown flair of the Maverick restaurant group (the team behind High Cotton and Slightly North of Broad) to charming Pitt Street in Mt. Pleasant's Old Village. Executive Chef Frank Lee oversees the kitchens at SNOB and the Post House, and both menus reflect his hallmark blend of fresh Southern ingredients prepared with classic French techniques."

Robert Moss, Charleston City Paper

"While this wasn't my first Post House experience, I was blown away by the level of service we received throughout the meal. From the moment we walked in the door until we left, we interacted with the hostess, a bartender, our server, and even one of Maverick's owners. All in all, everyone went out of their way to be friendly and were extremely knowledgeable. On top of that, the food/drinks were delicious as always."

OVPH Diner

"This restaurant is a delight. The menu varies often, there are nightly specials, and we have eaten there a dozen times over the years and always been happy with the food and service. Located as it is in the Old Village means you can go for a pleasant walk before or after dinner too."

OpenTable Diner

"Thank you all so much for making our rehearsal dinner a wonderful, intimate success. Everything was perfect and so much more than I could have imagined. My memory of September 24th and the significance of the day will ALWAYS bring a smile to my face."

Gail, Rehearsal Dinner

PURVEYOR PROFILE

Celeste Albers, Green Grocer Farms

Celeste Albers is not just the Green Grocer, she's the green goddess of the local food scene. "The whole basis is to farm from nature and maintain a healthy soil," Celeste says when asked what makes her farming distinctive. "You are not feeding the plant, you are feeding the soil and it will reward you with a healthy plant." In addition to growing heirloom corn and Irish potatoes, the Albers' Green Grocer Farm includes the production of prized eggs, nutritious raw milk, and dry-aged beef.

When all is said and done, what matters is recognition - a clear message that we know you as a neighbor and guest and know that your business is important to us. With that in mind, we invite you to join the Maverick Collection -- a simple program to reward you for the dollars you spend in our properties.
