“A great night out - The evening was lovely for the three of us. We sat in a corner table and the noise level was very low, we had no problems hearing each other. I enjoyed the tomato soup while my wife and a friend shared the mussels appetizer (which was large enough for a main course). They both had a different fish dish for their main course and each one thought their meal was great. I had the flat iron steak and it was excellent. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The wine list is more than adequate to complement all of the menu items. Our servers were attentive to our needs.”
“We went there for an anniversary dinner and received complimentary glasses of champagne. It is a small quaint place and the food was outstanding. It is over in Mt Pleasant but well worth the drive over. The mussels, roasted Brussel sprouts and Parmesan truffle fries were over the top. The hamburger was perfect with pimento cheese. While there are many desserts - we chose a salted caramel sundae with fudge sauce that was perfect for two. There is limited parking so arrive a bit early. Not to be missed. Service was over the top.”
“Was curious about this Old Village area of Mt Pleasant, SC. Delighted that we were able to get a reservation this past weekend. A charming eatery in a lovely area. Delicious meal!! Definitely recommended. Fantastic Experience! - Our favorite Sunday brunch destination! I've never had French toast so good, and the chefs always have exceptional specials. Service is relaxed, yet attentive. Wine list is thoughtful and cocktails are creative . Simply put, the Old Village Post House is a must!”
For special event dinners I would rate them the best is Charleston. Charming location, great service, great food, they have it all! Bonnie does a fab job with special events. One of the best in the area for sure!
King Bean Coffee Roasters was cultivated in Kurt Weinberger's parents' garage in 1994 in South Carolina. His interest in coffee was conceived while serving in the Navy near Seattle during the Pacific Northwest's coffee boom. While the coffee scene in South Carolina was not as prevalent, Kurt's passion for culinary arts and coffee lead him to buy his first roaster, a modest machine. Kurt honed his roasting skills by learning from established New York and Italian coffee roasters, and targeted local high-end restaurants with his product. Twenty years and three roaster upgrades later, King Bean Coffee offers "balanced, well-rounded coffee with remarkable characteristics, crafted with chefs' discriminating palates in mind." Coffee is roasted daily on a 60-kilo Petrocini roaster and still packed by hand. The Old Village Post House is proud to serve our guests high quality, locally made coffee.
